CARVAULT CO and Modern & Historic Motors are thrilled to share this magnificent, rare, 1997 Porsche 911 993 Carrara S (or C2S as it is commonly known) with a factory fitted 6-speed manual gearbox. The 993 generation cars from 1994 to 1998 are an iconic iteration of the 911 range, the most desirable amongst this era of cars are the 'Wide Body' cars which were only available as the 911 Carrera 4S (four wheel drive) and Carrera 2S (two wheel drive / rear wheel drive)

Only 251 Carrera S's were imported to the UK, and they were lighter and faster than the C4S. This incredibly rare vehicle left Stuttgart not with the sluggish and antiquated Tiptronic gear box that the majority of the S models received, but with the ultra-desirable 6 Speed Manual box that makes this 993 Carrera 'S' a true drivers car and an absolute joy for the enthusiast.

This example was first registered on 21/01/1997 when collected by its first owner from Merlin Porsche of Nottinghamshire. The car still wears its original registration plate as delivered in 1997 and is presented in the factory colour of Black (L741) with full Marble Grey leather interior with Black interior and the desirably optioned Sports Seats.

This gorgeous model has accumulated 89,000 miles and has retained a superb service history throughout its life, fully documented in the service book and invoices. It was cared for and much-loved in a private car collection, with no expenses spared. Recent services total up to £12k, with repairs such as new suspension springs, bushes, a thorough cleaning and wax oiling to protect from corrosion. All services were carried out by the supplying dealer, Merlin Porsche of Nottinghamshire, followed by another inspection and a full new clutch (£2,400). To top it all off, it has a fresh MOT report with no advisories. The car is currently sitting on the black 'split-rim' alloys but the sale will include an original set of hollow Turbo Twist Alloys fitted (genuine set of course) as the car would have originally been supplied.
